I'm not a huge fan of Cheers, but I have seen some episodes and I would definitely that it's still plenty funny. Situational comedy can possibly change, but relational comedy is always funny. And a lot of Cheers is built on relational comedy more than just situational comedy. I don't think it matters what year it's being watched.

I'm actually watching "Cheers" on Netflix right now, and it still cracks me up.

Though I'm posting 5 years after 2014, I wanted to chime in that - yes - Cheers is definitely still funny after all of these years. I'm a newcomer to the show & just started watching the DVD's last summer. The series cracks me up & I've literally laughed out loud numerous times when watching the show.

I was a pre-teen/teen/young adult when the series first aired from 1982-1993. And, I'm glad I waited to watch the show until now, since I'm appreciating the humor/situations a lot more as a guy in his 40's - than I would have when the show was originally on.

2014? Cheers will still be funny in 3014, unless the people watching in the future are raised by ignorant fools...

Only In Reruns? Yes...Because i’m glad Cheers did not get rebooted in the 2010s
