Sanford and Son is awesome. Night Court. S.W.A.T. Mission: Impossible (even though it's in 5). Hawaii 5-0. Peter Gunn. I think it was Quincy that had a pretty groovin tune behind it - a lot of those 70's detective shows had pretty good jams.
Now that I think about it, matt k, you're absolutely right!

I'm goning to count the following themes that get me going and get down:

Barney Miller
Fish (It sounds like a theme that one can get down and dance to)
Hawaii Five-O (definitely)
S.W.A.T. (kind of funny how someone at jump the shark mentioned that the theme makes people wanna play S.W.A.T.)
Sledge Hammer!
The Cosby show (Seasons 2, 3, 4, and I guess 6 & 7)
Mission Impossible
Quincy and pretty much anything from Glen Larson has a great tune to it)
CHiPs (Seasons 2-6)
The A-Team (doesn't make me wanna dance, but makes me wanna get in the van and starting shooting bullets out my gun, but as a whole anything from Mike Post is also TV theme greatness)
Night Court
Good Times
Sanford and Son
Mr. Belvedere (makes me wanna drop kick my jacket)

Yep, that one is so funky. The one that gets me to dance fer sure. You may think this is funny, but the instrumental theme of "Roseanne" sounds kinda like a song one would strip to (like back in the days) so every so often, I will imitate these stripper moves and act like I am stripping my clothes. My adult daughter has a riot when I do that.
