Mill Creek Season 1 differences

As we all know Mill Creek is releasing the complete 1st and 2nd season of Roseanne of September 13th so let's start talking about specific edits if you like me have gotten the set before its release date. Like certain scenes that were cut out of the original season 1 dvd release in 2005.

Pilot

• Pilot opens with Becky on the phone while in syndicated episode it opens up with DJ (Sal Barone) asking Roseanne to tie his shoe.
• Factory scene starts with Booker (George Clooney) is beating on the vending machine while in syndicated version it starts of with Roseanne asking to get off of work early.
• Home scene opens with DJ eating the pie discussed in an earlier scene while in syndicated version it opens with Roseanne talking to Darlene (Sara Gilbert) about her visit with her history teacher

Language Lessons

• Scene opens with DJ (Michael Fishman) watching TV and Roseanne comes in asking him what he is watching while in syndicated version Dan (John Goodman) is on the phone in the kitchen when Roseanne comes in

I've noticed with editing of tv shows that the opening scene and ending scene get more chopped up than the scenes in between. The scenes in between usually are missing a few seconds here and there but the beginning and ending could have more than a minute cut off. Sometimes even the scenes in between even get butchered up. It is like watching a different show when watching unedited vs edited
