Whether you go with the “inside job” theory or with the “outside job” theory,
either way there are unanswered questions.
Both theories have strong pros,
but there are also cons,
there are problems with both theories.

There is one big difference though.

The “inside job” theory has been completely and thoroughly investigated, with little or no incriminating evidence having been found. This points strongly towards innocence.

The “outside job” theory has not been completely and thoroughly investigated, there is still a large possibility of finding incriminating evidence against an outsider.

We don’t know what really happened, anything is possible.
It is perfectly reasonable for anyone’s first impression to have been that this was an “inside job”.
But after so much investigation into every student and staff member,
after even investigating students who left before the murder and students who joined after it.
After having overturned every possible stone in the “insider job” theory, and finding virtually nothing.

By now it is reasonable to have a change in perspective.
Any person who is looking for a truly unbiased perspective on this case will agree,
that as long as no solid evidence is found, and based on what we know now,
it is reasonable to say that there is a good chance that this was an “outside job”.

Did TexasJoe ever come forward to police? If not, that helps support my "reluctant witness" theory. Fear of exposure, ostracism, embarrassment...

Iwishik mentioned that Rebzissel's posts disappeared sometime in 2016. Coincidentally, this "expose" was published in mid-2016:
http://protectjewishkids.com/chaim-weiss-murder-update/

All of the circumstantial evidence (death ritual, distraught phone calls) points to an inside job, meaning that whoever killed Chaim was associated with the Yeshiva. It could have been a student. It could have been a Rabbi or other faculty. It could have been a conspiracy involving more than one individual (student and/or faculty) for more than one motive (pederasty and/or school reputation). In fact, with the amount of time that has passed, I would assert that the latter may be correct, especially when combined with the associated silence of religious sex abuse victims.

Everyday, more and more decades-old sex abuse allegations come forward, even after the statute of limitations is up. The key to solving this crime is to get TexasJoe and other orthodox sex abuse victims to come forward. In this case, more than one person is keeping a secret.
Agreed.

Something that has always bothered me about this case was his brutal, and bizarre over-killing. I wonder if he was brutally murdered to throw off investigators? Like you said, it could've been a case of molestation, but he was killed the way he was to cover up the true motive of the crime. It goes hand and hand with the phony scene of the opened window and lit candle.

I feel like whoever killed him planned it to throw the investigators off track off of the original motive.

I think he was brutally murdered for the same reasons people do such a thing....crime of passion and intense anger for some reason. It seemed like for some reason it was overkill in a fit of rage or something else.

The killer might have stabbed him multiple times real quickly to make sure he was dead before he screamed for help.

Maybe, maybe not. The window being open, as well as the lit candle seems like something the killer did to throw off authorities. The real question would be why would someone brutally overkill a kid?

Authorities said his body was moved around multiple times, I wonder if an adult killed him, but wanted it to seem like a young student did it?

Hello

Is anyone aware whether hair samples where recovered at the scene .
There is a new technology that is able to extract DNA even from decades old rootless hair.
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/16/s...na-murder.html

If so or any funding is needed please PM me .
Thank you

While that is good news, as usual there's a catch.

Read the last two paragraphs of the article.

"There are 200,000 to 250,000 cold cases in the United States, she said, and even if hair was collected in just 10 percent, thatís 20,000 cases that could benefit.

Still, neither she nor Dr. Green thinks the technique is likely to be widely embraced any time soon. Forensic labs are not set up to implement it and itís expensive. Each hair costs several thousand dollars to sequence, and thatís before hiring a genetic genealogist to try to identify its source."
