Zella Mae Best O'Dell died in March of this year at the age of 89. For those who may not remember, she was the lady whose father, Charlie Best, took in two sisters, Ada and Madeline Underwood, during the Great Depression after their father kept struggling to make ends meet. The Best family would spend the next several decades searching for the two sisters, eventually reuniting with Ada just weeks before Charlie died. Madeline had already been deceased for some time when UM ran the segment.

I think someone already mentioned it but I came across Tommy Burkett's mothers obituary. Not sure if anyone posted it already (if so, sorry in advance)

http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/was...spx?pid=992107

His father also passed away in 2006.

And this is Tommy's grave from Find A Grave as well

This one might be Mabel Wood(s), whose dog kennel was set on fire by an arsonist(s) in 1986 and 1987: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg...&GRid=93452628

I think you're right. Between being from Missouri and the fact that it's mentioned that she spent a good many years caring for animals, I can't imagine the possibility of it being anybody else.

I believe I've read online that Charles Morgan's wife had died from cancer in 2006.
