I was listening to oldies this morning and found the Paul Mcartney song Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey and I think it's a cool song and what's the story behind it? Does Uncle Albert pass away or does Uncle Albert leave his family when his nephew gets into an arguement with him? Also who is Admiral Halsey? Is that Uncle Albert's formal name or is Admiral Halsey another friend who Uncle Albert meets on his journey and Admiral Halsey asks for his help?

McCartney said "Uncle Albert" was based on his uncle. "He's someone I recall fondly, and when the song was coming it was like a nostalgia thing." McCartney also said, "As for Admiral Halsey, he's one of yours, an American admiral", referring to Fleet Admiral William "Bull" Halsey (1882–1959).
