I got my advance copy yesterday and it's great! I have a question though. There is a disclaimer on the box saying that some music was changed. Anybody know what music was changed?

I somehow missed the notice about the changed music, I've updated the review.

The people at Home Theater Forum are thinking the song You've Lost That Loving Feeling was replaced in the Back Seat Becky episode.

However, they can't even agree on if it was Lovin' Feelng or Unchained Melody that was used in the episode anyway, or if that was the change.

Me, I've never seen the episode, and was only about 4 when it originally aired, so I have no clue other than what I've read on the 'net.

Oh, and there's a similar disclaimer on the back of the Season 7 box art.

Anyway, I've watched the first disc, and the show is still funny in the Rebecca years. It's different, though. But a good kind of different.

Well... since I seem to have killed the thread with my last post, I might as well make another.

The comedy has changed with season 6.

the Diane seasons were more cerebral comedy. More wit, more subtle.

I've gotten more gut laughs out of the first two discs of season 6 than I did out of the first five seasons.

Now, that isn't a bad thing by any means. The show is still funny. It's just that there seems to have been a shift in the style of humor after the egghead character left from the... well, egghead type of humor, to the slapstick, gut laugh type I've seen in season 6 so far.

That's all.

anyone know more about the music changes. I thought Cheers wouldn't have to worry about this, there are only a handful of licensed songs.

Music

Unlike Happy Days/Mork & Mindy/L&S, Cheers hopefully won't have any money issues!

Whatever it was, it was subtle. I finished season six last weekend, and I didn't know where the music changes were.

I don't have season six yet. I was trying to sweet talk my father earlier into going out and getting it for me today, but he didn't go for it. Being a kid and having no source of transportation or income suuucks sometimes. I hate having to bum off my parents.

Enjoy it while you can. Being an adult isn't a picnic, either.

Aha, that's not what I meant at all. I have absolutely no desire to ever grow up. Unfornately it is inevitable. I just hate always having to ask my parents to either bring me out to buy something or asking them to order something for me online. Especially with the TVDVDs... they don't understand why I would want to spend $40 on one, so when I ask them to bring me to the store to do so I feel like a complete fool.
