Christie says she dropped Todd back at his house right around 3 a.m. The coroner determined that he was murdered just 15 minutes later. At 4:30 a.m., Mahfuz called Christie from his parents’ house, 10 miles away. Two hours later, he showed up in her bedroom. According to Christie, she broke off their relationship for good, not knowing what he had done.

It seems much more likely that she was there the whole time, than all the zipping back and forth in the early morning hours. At the very least she saw what happened.
Exactly, but the main thing that tells me she is lying is:

"It was getting kind of late, and I told him I had to go home, ícause I hadnít really been home in quite a while, and I knew my father would be upset, so we left. He said he was going to stay up all night and he wanted to get something to drink. Christie says that at 2:30 a.m., she and Todd drove into town"

What sense does it make to go home at 2 in the morning because your father would be upset that you haven't been home in a while? I'm assuming he'd be sleep by the time you walked in. It would've made sense just to spend the night and go home in the mor.......wait, I'm sure that was her plan until Mahfuz came and murdered Todd.

She was definitely lying

I think she went back the next day to call the authorities because she knew he was dead, but wanted to make it seem like a surprise.
Interesting thoughts!!

One more thought about Todd Kelly’s murder: I used to think Christie Mutzfield’s motives were more sinister (putting the two men against each other and so forth), but the last time I watched it I came away with the impression that wasn’t actually the case.

It seems more likely that if she helped Huq in any way, it was because she was under duress. If she was there, she saw this psychopath murder her lover right in front of her, which is a really ****ed up thing the live through, it’s understandable that she would help him out of fear for her own life.

Of course that means she lied, but had she told the truth it would have had no effect on justice in this case because everyone knew it was Huq from the beginning. That said, I do understand Todd’s family’s reaction to her

If it's theorized Brad Bishop disappeared with a woman after abandoning his car would that be considered a love triangle?

Anna the super religious barfly is a fascinating character.
While it turns out that Anna had some layers to her that weren't discovered until much later, the main point of her story was still rather tragic. In order to avoid being murdered by her psycho drug dealing husband, she moves all the way to a Podunk town in the middle of nowhere....only to be murdered by a new love.

Although I was kind of amused by how the mayor of Lyons said at the beginning of the segment how nobody moves to Lyons. Just the fact that an outsider moving to her town was enough to immediately set off some red flags.
