Question Why arenít classic daytime soap opera episodes on streaming (other than Dark Shadows)

The full runs of Days of our Lives and The Young and the Restless exist, and most soaps have full episodes post-late-Ď70s.

It would take money to digitize them and the potential audience is relatively small. Not enough ROI.

Over time, the technology for digitizing might improve to make it cost effective, especially for all the new streaming platforms & whatever new media technologies exist.

Or, it could be one of the few "busy work", non-automated menial jobs available for people in the near future.

Of course, many of the soap episodes may no longer be in existence, perhaps getting recorded over each other in the rush of filming 5 days a week for years on end.

P&G owns the rights to several shows and they aren't going to release them.

What's the point in owning rights to intellectual property if you aren't going to make money off of it?
