Default 20 years ago this fall; The Nanny Returns for a 2nd Season and Moves to Monday Nights

Hey guys,

20 years ago this fall;

Fran Drescher was back for her 2nd Season as The Nanny

That's right, Fran Fine (Jewish Actress Fran Drescher Saturday Night Fever, Jack, Living with Fran and Happily Divorced) and her co-horts were back as well her boss Maxwell Sheffield (British Actor Charles Shaughnessy Days of our Lives), his 3 children Maggie (Nicholle Tom Beethoven & Beethoven's 2nd), Brighton (Benjamin Salisbury Domino's Pizza Commerical) and Grace (Madeline Zima The Hand That Rocks the Cradle & A Cinderella Story) along with Maxwell's Butler Niles (Daniel Davis Texas and The Hunt for Red October), business partner C. C. Babcock (Lauren Lane HUNTER), Fran's Mother Sylvia (Renee Taylor Dream On!), her Grandmother Yetta Rosenberg (Ann Morgan Guilbert The Dick Van Dyke Show) and her best friend Val Toriello (Rachel Chagall The Last Supper) were back for some funny, outrageous and wacky adventures

During the show's 2nd Season, The Nanny made its jump from Wednesday Night to Monday Nights @ 8/7 on CBS for the next 2 Seasons

During its 2 year run on Monday Nights, the show competed against the popular NBC Monday Night Sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (which also went through a minor change as well by adding Ross Bagley as Nicholas Banks)

The Nanny proved to be too much for The Fresh Prince to handle as far as the ratings went

During the 94/95 Season, The Nanny teamed up with Dave's World on Monday Nights and both shows became Top 30 Hits and both shows got more ratings than Fresh Prince and Blossom

The Nanny cracked the Nielsen Ratings Top 30 for 2 years in a row

Season 2 of The Nanny reached #24 in the Ratings while Dave's World cracked the Top 20 @ #20 and Season 3 of The Nanny saw its highest peak ever when it cracked the Top 20 for the very 1st time by reaching #17 and Dave's World moved to Wednesday Nights

Season 5 of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and the Final Season of Blossom were tied @ #55 and The Final Season of Fresh Prince was also @ #55 tied with Season 4 of Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman and the CBS Tuesday Movie

Season 2 also marked the directorial debut of Actress/Director/Producer Dorothy Lyman who is best known for her roles as work as Gwen Frame on NBC's Another World, Opal Sue Gardner on abc's All My Children and most notably Naomi "Skeeter" Harper on the NBC and Syndicated Sitcom Mama's Family

Dorothy would continue to direct episodes of The Nanny until Season 5

She directed a total of 75 episodes

She directed 3 episodes in the 2nd Season, all 27 episodes of the 3rd Season, all 26 episodes of the 4th Season and 19 episodes of the 5th Season

after 2 seasons on Monday Nights and when The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air left the airwaves, The Nanny made her return back home to CBS Wednesday Nights until the series ended in 1999

and that's your look @ a moment from 20 years ago:
