oh yeah...also notice in the "Cheers" logo picture, the guy in the front center. i always thought he was cuddling (or whatever he's doing) w/ someone beside him, but it's actually the lady's leg from the center of the picture!

also, notice the guy on the far left hand side (he's looking down at something...)
and though you cant see it on TV real well, in the full version of that picture, the lady on the top center (her apron can be seen on TV, behind all the main ppl), she's showing a good amount for the turn of the century time period haha

on also not seeable normally, on the far right, there is a drunk from off the streets peeking in at everyone

see? even thats too much lol

i really just wanna know who found all these pics, why they chose them, and who put it all together (the theme)

Hey doug! Your site is great, but none of the videos seem to work for me...lol I got all excited because I have been looking for that NBC 75th anniversary clip forever.

I didnt mean to criticize your topic, its just OVERALL, everything is overanalyzed these days....

I think Carla's picture was the most fitting.... just showing the dress, it was perfect.

As for everyone else.... Ill be back....

Thats "A bartender serving drinks". The 1st-3rd seasons are:
1: Black car
2: Cheers in 1982
3: Cheers in 1889
4: Stairway to Cheers
5: Cheers facing away the backroom
6: Cheers faceing where the jukebox is at
7: A man with his drink
8: A lady and 2 gentlemen drinking w. logo
9: A carefree drinking (Ted/Shelly)
10: a proud bartender
11:Patrons at the bar drinking (Nick)
12: A barbershop triplet
13: A lady's leg (Rhea)
14: The wise guy of the bar (John)
15: Fat man of the bar (George)
16: WW1 win (George)
17: A vintage toast of men (Charles Bros. and Burrows)
6-11 with changes in the cast
Cut out 9, 10, and 12
add:

19: A waitress (Kirstie)
20: A bartender and his apprentince (Woody)

If play the long version of the theme song in the first three seasons, its 1-17
The 6-11 are 1-8 w/ 9 w/o Shelly then Ted and the rest of the cast from seasons 6-11. 11 with Bebe's exception.

Also have u notice they change the intro a little bit? Like on The CW when they show the first three seasons it went from the car to the bar, then they show the old fashion picture and went on with the theme on the short version? On Tv Land when they show the first season without John's pic it went from the car then the logo and add the proud bartender and the barbershop triplet. on the second and third season it did the same thing except they replace the triplet pic with John's. I like the long versions better when they show the whole opening sequence.

they edit opening sequences on reruns in order to add commercials. if stations offered showing the entire opening along with deleted scenes with the stipulation that they'd also add 25 more minutes of commercials (lengthening the broadcast to a whole hour), would it be worth it?
