Default Season 2 DVD

You all that are complaining about the Happy days Music rights are not true Happy Days fans. Happy Days isn't about the music. I care about is the plots and character development. Even if it has no music it will still be cool. April 17th is going to be a very happy day for me. You all should glad it's on DVD. So stop complanining. Plus Rock around the clock was not as good as the season 3-11 theme.you complaining make me . the DVD going to Rule.

We're complaining because we're purists. We want the episodes to appear exactly as they did when they first aired on ABC. The music was, indeed, a big part of the series. Hearing the generic stuff they play is distracting, in my opinion. I'm always wondering what song is supposed to be there. As for the theme, sure, the "Happy Days" theme was better, but that's entirely irrelevant. "Rock Around the Clock" was the opening theme for Season 2, so that's what should be on the DVD set.

I will buy the DVD sets as long as they continue to release them regardless of what edits are made. However, I'd much, much rather everything be authentic and pay more for it - even double. That's how important it is.

That is certainly terrible news. No, I don't have a detailed list of where each song appears. I do have the DVDs I made, so I'll check them out if I have time this weekend or next week.

hey i was just thinking, since paramount has said that some music has been change for this entertainment dvd, i guess that got some of the rights to the original music but not all, lets hope that the music that was change is not the generic music thats heardin syndication, nd i hope that they will show all of the original deleted scenes that was cut in syndication peace

We have gone through most of the episodes. Blueberry Hill is the only one cleared and in fact is missing on a few episodes. This is a disgrace so far. Not to mention the video quality is TERRIBLE. Flashing white dots all over the film. Full report in our review this weekend.

Then he and Ralph walked out, leaving Potsie behind to eat their sundaes. I was looking forward to that deleted ROTC scene, and I've been counting on seeing that part on the S2 DVD set. But after hearing about this stupid music alteration, now I'm not too sure, and I have a feeling that we're all in for a disappointment. On the other hand, maybe the music alteration won't necessarily affect the editing on the scenes. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
That tag scene is on there, but "My Prayer" has been substitued with an instrumental song.

The only scenes that I would think would be potentially cut out are songs performed by the cast members or songs the band played.

Most of the songs with lyrics have been replaced by instrumental music.

When ABC began running repeats of Happy Days in the morning on weekdays in 1976, they would use the season three opening sequence and theme music on episodes from the first two seasons, so I guess the subsitution of the season three theme music for the season two DVDs isn't as big a deal for me as it is for others. The subsitution of music in the actual programs is more of a concern for me.

Does anybody know that if they just substituted the opening theme music from season two with season three's or did they substitute the entire opening sequence altogether??

They just replaced the theme music. The actual video credits are real.

Do they show all of the different season two variations of the opening credits, or do they just take the easy route and tack the "Happy Days" song on one variation?

Yeah, I'm kinda losing my heart and thinking of returning S2 DVD to Amazon where I preordered it from. And I hope Paramount gets many phone calls. Maybe they'll do something about this when they get enough people complaining.

i bet with all of the complaints they will be getting they might just change number again they did it too themselves and will the fans be pissed it does not make sense to commerical advertise the product because once people purchased it and see that the dvd has scenes thats shown in syndication and generic music they are not going to buy it and they no what they did, they rather spend billions of dollers on companies instead of givining us what we have been waiting for, 4/17/ will be a sad day for hd2 fans i bet allot of people willl return the dvd watch what i tell you by nest week thank god for tj and pavanbadel reviewing it and spreading the word who will buy the dvd i wont and i am not the only one who feels that way
