It likely varies from state to state. But in Indiana the allowable threshold is very low. And if you start reporting income, such as filing a tax return, they are definitely going to call you in for a review. With incremental reduction in benefits tied to how much you go over their allowable limit .

LOL, I just retired and am now collecting retirement from SSI. I'd LOVE to get foodstamps too if you can coach me how to do it.

if you are applying for yourself and over 65 in PA with a gross monthly income less than a $1000 a month and pay rent or utilities you will likely be eligible

My monthly SS benefit is roughly double that.....

In California it is less than 1, 300 a month , that is for anybody to get EBT/food stamps! Medicaid (called MediCal out here ) too!

Someone came yesterday and was qualified because he has a permanent disability regardless of his $6000 a month income


Poor Gurdy couldnt get no stamps lol
