Taken from a forensic site:

Question: Do dead bodies bruise?

Answer: Yes, if they haven't been dead long. Bruises are blood from broken capillaries that seeps into surrounding tissues and clots under the skin. Since the blood is no longer pumping once the heart stops, it doesn't seep as much…but it does seep. It is possible, by the way, to determine whether a bruise was inflicted before or after death, but it takes a microscopic examination. A bruise inflicted after death will contain the normal count of white blood cells; no more. But a bruise inflicted during life will contain an abnormally high number of white cells. Why? Because white cells move to the site of an injury to start the healing process. But only while you're alive. Once you die, that's it for healing.

Anyone know if there is a way to get the photos that rovinggambler posted to display again? Thanks.

Something that really upset me about this case besides all the injustice surrounding it is how the cop who UM interviewed said that "there was no way" that the bullet Norman's dad found could have been the one that killed him.

Its like, ****. They're not even trying to hide the fact that they're lazily covering it up. So what, the Ladners found a bullet right where Norman was found dead (and a bloody bullet at that), among his brain fragments and skull tissue, and you literally want me to believe that it wasn't the bullet that killed him?

And frankly, I think its just about impossible for someone to inflict a bullet in the back of their own head with a rifle as big as Ladner's hunting one.

The fact that his driver's license ended up in NY further supports the murder and conspiracy theory. It makes perfect sense really. NY is a haven for drug traffickers and mafia members.

Shoot still unsolved. Man I remeber this case and the radio thing they founds in the woods. I believe the parents thought Norman came up on some drug dealers.

I think if perhaps one investigated the autopsy report, they would find that Boy had a 1 1/2 inch laceration to the top vertex of the skull with a surrounding approximate 2 inch bruise. There were adult maggots in the laceration but merely larvae eggs in the entrance and exit wounds respectively. (Which was your older wound?) I personally think he walked upon a Dixie mafia drug delivery and was chased........then hit over the head from behind causing the laceration (dead people don't bruise). The rest was staged. The staging would account for the heavy blood coagulation underneath his head in retrospect to blood spatters in the surrounding areas as would normally be present in a suicide or accident. I think the device could have possibly been from someone playing with model planes at one time (mere speculation......the device was unidentified as to its purpose) It would be more interesting to learn if perhaps they're were small bon fires in that area..........................perhaps in rows...as if to signal small aircraft after dark.

I'd still love to know why the police and the coroner initially suspected that he died as the result of an accident, only to change it to suicide. It seems like the family accepted the accident theory and only changed when the official ruling was suicide. If it wasn't a homicide, this very well seems like an accidental shooting. Norman sitting up in a tree, the tree branch breaks, he falls, gun discharges and shoots him. It makes more sense than a suicide, IMO.

Boy was at the Mississippi property with his father. His mother stayed in Slidell, LA that morning. Im sure when he came up missing, His mother was frantic. Eventually after the shock wears off and One begins to contemplate......things just don't add up. Keep in mind.... In Mississippi, you only have to have a GED and get elected. You do not have to be a medical doctor or forensic specialist. The Sheriff normally will tell the Coroner the cause of death and that is what it is.

Earlier in this thread, it was mentioned someone was running for office and if successful, might possibly re-open the case. Did that person win?

White cypress lakes in Hancock is and has been the perfect drop off spot. Compliments of HCSO deputy Phil Johnson.

First off, what was he hunting on August 21st? Poaching, I've no patience for, but I digress

Secondly, why was he carrying $140 (nearly $300 in today's money).

I'm going to have to us Occam's Razor. There has never been any evidence whatsoever that there were "drug drops" on the property. Certainly no evidence that persons involved in the drug drops committed a murder. Finding a crude radio device much later and taking it to a guy (who we are asked to believe was a "former dea agent") doesn't prove much of anything

Suicide. Until proven otherwise

Prove it was Suicide. The evidence sure doesn't indicate that it was.
