Also, I have a feeling the farina episodes, since there were such fewer episodes, were easy to upload to stream immediately. I think the originals will take some work to package/load up, as there are so many seasons worth.

I wonder what shape some of the old Robert Stack UM's are in too. Might need to do a little work on that.

This is why I think we are getting the Farina episodes. Just saying. I've never wanted to be wrong so badly.....

why would they buy the rights if they're only going to be streaming the less popular Farina episodes? They know people want the Stack episodes, so i'm sure we'll be getting those soon.

I definitely understand the skepticism but Fisher did bring up airing the Stack shows and I don't believe he would have done that otherwise. I think we'll get them. All of them? That might be asking too much.

This is pretty cool. Filmrise already has streaming rights to Forensic Files, FBI Files, and New Detectives, and has all three of them available to view for free on that website we're not allowed to name. Maybe UM will show up there as well.

I have to admit that even though it was the Farina episodes that they uploaded to Amazon, I got excited for the possibility that they would have the extremely rare "Final Appeal" episodes on there. But alas, they did not. I was really looking forward to seeing the Tony Miller segment again in its entirety (I have seen this one time about 4 or 5 years ago when the Farina episodes were still on Spike), and also Thomas Drake. It's just a rehash of the segments we've seen over and over again. I just browsed through each episode on there, and the only ones that I haven't seen in years are 2 treasure segments (Plummer's treasure & Skeleton Canyon), and Randy Yager/Margie Jelovic. I thought that maybe they'd have the full John Purvis segment, but it was still the 6 minute "update" version. The only Final Appeal segment is Darlie Routier. What a letdown.

Yeah on Filmrise you can view Foresnic Files just off the bat It would be great if they did this for UM as well.

I still won't be surprised if the only Stack stuff is the DVD packages but I would be very pleased to be wrong about this!!

From the Official Unsolved Mysteries Facebook page (as a comment to a question asked): "Robert Stack episodes will be coming in 2017".

So ... nice way to wrap up 2016.

I'd just messaged the UM facebook account about 2 weeks ago asking if they were going to release another old segment like they did with the Joan Gay Croft one last Christmas. The reply I got was "We're not sure" which I found to be both strange and annoying.

At this point, I am praying that we get whole run, but it's been discussed ad nauseam why that would be tricky (and unlikely) to do.

I really hope I am wrong but we might just be getting a streaming version of the DVD sets, since they were already re-formatted.

I actually had the same thoughts about checking out the episodes just to see the Dan Montecalvo and Thomas Drake segments, as I've only ever seen the Farina versions of these cases and that was many years ago. Sad to see they can't even get that right.

CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY THIS YEAR!!!

Wow... I honestly never thought we would see the original Robert Stack episodes broadcast ever again. Having them available on a streaming service is the best news of all.
