Isn't he just a correspondent for The Today Show? If I'm not mistaken, he's been doing it for a couple months.

I haven't heard anything about him leaving Last Call.

Yep, several sites confirmed it months ago, including Deadline, TV Line, etc..

Both Sean Saves the World & The Michael J. Fox Show pulled a 0.9 this week yet NBC ordered 18 and 22 episodes of them, it must be rock bottom for the network. But they still haven't announced midseason plans and the comedies are not airing in 2013 anymore, they should burn them off on Fridays 8 pm or Sundays after football ends.

They have announced their midseason plans - Sean and MJF are staying in tact, Community is moving back to 8:00, and Parks & Rec is shifting to 8:30. Then after the Winter Olympics they're premiering 2 new comedies (About a Boy and Growing Up Fisher) on Tuesdays at 9:00 after The Voice.

They really don't have much of a choice but to keep them around - the only other comedy they have on the bench is Undateable, and I don't really think that would do any better than either of them. But these ratings are embarrasing, and they need to think long and hard about their comedy development next year. They already have a series order for a new Tina Fey comedy, so they need to find out how to make that work for them.

The funny thing is they're doing OK on the drama front, with The Blacklist emerging as a hit and Grimm, Chicago Fire, and SVU all remaining steady. But the state of their comedy is certainly worse than ever. Greenblatt just has no idea how to make a good comedy show.

^I thought they'd make a press release like ABC and FOX did this week about the midseason schedule. So that is all, it stays like that, and the 2 dramas go to Sundays? Usually they change midseason plans that are announced very early (like last year they planned to air Do No Harm on Sundays but it was moved to Thursdays 10 pm)? And the Thursday comedies will run till May after the Olympics?

I'm assuming their midseason schedule is the same as it was at Upfronts if they haven't announced any other changes, but maybe they're just late and will announce more changes soon. And yeah, that's the plan with the comedies as of now.

Update on Last Call with Carson Daly: New episodes of Last Call began airing at the end of October with "wraparounds" of host Mr. Daly opening and closing each episode. Interviews are being handled by producers. Apparently NBC likes this new format, so Last Call will stay active on the schedule, at least for the remainder of the 2013-14 season.

After a strong finish in the ratings for its fall run, NBC has renewed their smash hit freshman The Blacklist for a second season of 22 episodes for the 2014-15 season. Network wasted zero time in that opportunity.

All those NBC comedies are deteriorating, Parks And Recreation and Community need to end their series by May 2014, unfortunately.

It is true that "a network can't renew everything", but "a network can't cancel everything" either. If Community gets renewed, its sixth season may probably be its last.

We should probably wait until Community actually premieres before we make any renewal or cancellation predictions.

You were right, those midseason plans remained the same and they revealed the premiere dates.

http://www.deadline.com/2014/01/nbc-...a-boy-believe/

NBC has announced premiere dates for five of its upcoming midseason series — comedies “About a Boy” and “Growing Up Fisher,” dramas “Believe” and “Crisis,” and alternative program “American Dream Builders.”

Created for television by Jason Katims (“Friday Night Lights,” “Parenthood”), “About a Boy” — based on the best-selling Nick Hornby novel — will premiere in its regular time period Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT leading out of “The Voice.” A few days earlier, however, the first episode of the show will preview in primetime during the Olympics on Friday, Feb. 21 (10:30 p.m.) immediately following NBC’s coverage of the Winter Games from Sochi, Russia that night.

“Growing Up Fisher,” from creator DJ Nash and starring J.K. Simmons and Jenna Elfman, will premiere in its regular time period Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 9:30 p.m. with “About a Boy” as its lead-in. “Growing Up Fisher” will also have its first episode premiere during the Olympics on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 10:30 p.m., following coverage of the Closing Ceremonies.

“Believe,” from executive producers J.J. Abrams (“Revolution”) and Alfonso Cuarón (“Gravity”), who also directed the pilot, will have a special preview Monday, March 10 at 10 p.m. following “The Voice” and will premiere in its regular time period Sunday, March 16 at 9 p.m. “Believe” is a suspense drama that follows a unique 10-year-old girl with incredible powers who must be protected from falling into the wrong hands.

“Crisis,” starring Gillian Anderson and Dermot Mulroney, will premiere Sunday, March 16 at 10 p.m. The series examines to what extremes elite and influential Washington, D.C., parents will go to when their children are put in jeopardy by a man who is out for revenge.

The Nate Berkus-hosted reality competition series “American Dream Builders” will premiere Sunday, March 23 at 8 p.m. The hourlong series pits 12 of the country’s most accomplished designers and builders against each other as they tackle massive home renovation projects, featuring unique architectural styles, resulting in some jaw-dropping transformations.

Per Bob Greenblatt: Parks and Recreation has been renewed for season 7 and Community has a strong chance of renewal. He's not happy with The Michael J. Fox Show.
