Thanks, it's not a big deal. Ever since my Dad died that tradition has been kind of shaky anyways. Definitely never had a BBQ on Easter before so that will be weird.

I'm sure that'll be nice.

No, but they usually play random 60's and 70's songs.

Probably just the BBQ and taking it easy for the most part. Probably will go get ice cream after.

Yeah, it's different for sure. The last time it was even warm enough to do that on Easter was probably ironically the year we first had this thread, so that's pretty rare.

I feel like it's a mixture these days here with restaurants, some you'll get classics like that, others you'll get modern songs.

My grandparents always seem to dislike when they play oldies telling me that it makes them feel old so they'd probably dislike that

Depends on the songs for me. Last time we went, they were playing these really depressing like folk songs.

LOL that reminded me of when we went to a birthday party of someone we knew and the Dj started playing hip hop/R&B songs and all these 50-70 something year olds started dancing to it,probbaly mostly drunk but still LOL

This I can relate to. A couple of years ago I went to a party that my grandmother's cousin threw and he basically has his own party company so he has a DJ booth too and he started playing Blurred Lines and a bunch of older people along with an older man in a wheelchair started dancing to it.

A rare time that happened since most other times in recent years he's played modern songs, everyone but me (unless my mom and brother go) usually is confused as to what those songs even are.

I miss Clara.

Not feeling this new girl yet but maybe she'll grow on me.

That reminds me of the most recent trip to Laughlin where it was raining and dreary out with lightning in the middle of the desert with these depressing slow songs playing. That was sort of depressing, thankfully the entire trip didn't turn out that way.
