Im surprised no one has Mentioned Lani O'grady from eight is enough. At least Dick Van Patton and Betty Buckly outlived her..Not sure of the other kids from the show who were older than her but there has to be a few who may have been older.Grant Goodeve perhaps

Yes, Grant Goodeve did indeed outlive Lani O'Grady.

Also Susan Richardson and Laurie Walters also outlived Lani O'Grady as well.

I've never met Mr. Cady to prove whether he is still alive at this moment, but there have been no mentions of his passing in the news, and the site webmaster offers $10 to anyone who can prove anyone he lists as alive dead:

The first one I think of Carol O'Conner and his son, Hugh though it's probably already been mentioned.

If you're thinking of In the Heat of the Night, then yes that was already said.

Yes, Caroll not only outlived Hugh but he also outlived Howard Rollins as well.

As far as Frank Cady goes he pretty close to 100, he has to be up there with the oldest living tv actor or maybe just in acting all together. I also think effrem Zimbalist jr has to be near 95 or about... Also was dick van patten older than diana hyland on eight is enough, i know she was only on a few episodes but she was suppose to be a main character

Proof isn't needed to verify whether or not someone such as Frank Cady is still alive. If Mr. Cady had passed on, it would've made the news outlets plus all the more reliable websites such as variety, Hollywood Reporter, etc... would've mentioned it. The only exception would be if a celebrity had passed away and for whatever reason it wasn't made public until much later. One example of this occurred when John Crawford who played Sheriff Epp Bridges on "The Waltons" died on 9-21-10 and it wasn't announced until over a month later.

I'm pretty sure that Robert John Pittman is still alive. His half-sister, Sherry Jackson (Make Room for Daddy), was interviewed yesterday evening on Stu Shostak's Internet show (www.stusshow.com), and Sherry & Stu talked about him in the present tense. However his father and Sherry's stepdad, writer-director Montgomery Pittman, died in 1964 in his mid-40s (born in 1920, according to Marc Scott Zicree's Twilight Zone book; IMDB gives his lifespan as 1917-1962). IMDB does not list a death date Robert John Pittman, giving his birth date as 01/20/1956.

Here's a new show for this thread...

McHale's Navy:
Ernest Borgnine (who will turn 95 later this month) has outlived Carl Ballentine, Joe Flynn, Edson Stroll, and Gary Vinson.
Ballentine outlived Flynn and Vinson in his lifetime.
Bob Hastings has outlived Stroll and Vinson.
