Default Was this considered the Time Period for Happy Days?

Since the show Aired from 1974 to 1984, was the time period on the show 1954 to 1964?

Their wasnt a real time Period set Except the 50s and 60s, but in the First episode they made References to it being 1955, and in the last 1965 or 1966.

Id say 1955 to 1965.

The show started out omewhat authentic, but it gradually became lamer and lamer. They made absolutely NO EFFORT in trying replicate the early 60's.

The haircuts that Potsie, Ralph, Chachi and Richie wore were pure 70's and 80's. Slight modifications to whatever year they were filming in. In reality they probably would have been wearing crewcuts and flat tops in the early 60's.

The Beatles did have an impact on longer hair when they came to America in 1964, but it took a few years in most places. A place like Milwaukee in the midwest would have been slow to change. You would have seen short hair up through 1968 or so.
