Boomerang is on my cable system so I ran a search for The Flintstones. The only thing that came up is the live action movies on other networks, so no, The Flintstones is no longer there or on any network I currently receive.

I wonder if MeTV will run The Flintstones episodes uncut or if the episodes will be edited. Would not be good if they run them edited.

I don't think MeTV runs anything uncut. Sad to say.

I agree MeTV will probably run edited versions of the episodes, but if they do run them uncut, I imagine they would likely time compress them so they can fit all their commercials in.

When MeTV started showing The Monkees episodes a few months ago, I first thought the episodes were uncut but upon closer investigation I discovered the episodes are edited.

I now receive the MeTV channel in widescreen format with the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. Not good. When I watch TV, I want a fullscreen picture.

Gone are the early days/glory days of MeTV when they ran many programs uncut with no time compression and the picture was fullscreen.

They definitely do time-compress full-length episodes--I proved that out around a year ago when comparing with the same episodes taken from a different channel, when their identical scenes timed out shorter. Along with that they still edit out some content. They've improved their time-compression over a few years back; sometimes you could really tell it was sped up.

I read somewhere when time-compression is used, a pitch-correction program has to be used as well.

Well it figures ! It was too good to be true. I just found out today that NBC channel 4 out of Columbus Ohio did not renew MeTV and it will be off the air here on 9/24 only to be replaced by Court TV. Just wonderful...... another useless channel. I watched ALOT of MeTV and it will be missed. I'm hoping one of the other channels adds MeTV to it's sub channels. This happened to Antenna TV several years ago here but it was added back on another sub after a year or 2.

Well that makes a lot of sense. Everyone knows Court TV is way higher-rated than MeTV (not)!

Maybe your cable system can pick it up. They have a national feed.

Court TV never should have been revived. Or it at least could have remained a cable network like the original Court TV was. My ABC affiliate earlier this year added a bunch of sub channels. Me TV and Court TV were two of them. Unfortunately Comcast has not put Me TV on their Fort Wayne lineup yet, but lousy Court TV made it to channel 249. They also put Grit (another of the recent ABC sub channels) on 247, I would gladly trade both those channels for Me TV.

Comcast in Indianapolis has a lot of the junk sub-channels in the 240s and 250s. IMO the only good ones are MeTV and Antenna TV.

In Indy 248 is MeTV and 253 is Antenna TV.

Thanks but I cut the cable cord about a year and a half ago, bought Roku's and replaced it with Youtube TV.I was using indoor antennas to pickup Antenna TV,MeTV etc. Antenna TV and MeTV really need to make themselves available on more streaming devices. I wouldn't mind paying a small monthly fee to view it. These channels always changing around their sub channels on a yearly basis really gets on my nerves. The kicker is that they don't let let their customers know they are changing their subs so 99.9 percent of people turn on their sets one day and Voila ! no MeTV, Antenna TV,Decades etc.etc. I just happened to hear about this as I have a friend in the local media market who has contacts.

MeTV could probably do streaming deals for areas with no affiliate, to pick up their national feed.

When Antenna TV was a WANE affiliate here it was on channel 250. When Antenna became a WFFT affiliate, the channel number moved to the four digit section on channel 1181. Four PBS channels are on 240-243, Bounce on 248, and LAFF now on 250. 244-246 are empty, I sent Comcast a message last week requesting Me TV, Cozi, and Light TV be put on those channel numbers. I didn't even know Fort Wayne had a Cozi affiliate until recently when I messaged them asking about live streaming their schedule like Buzzr has. You would think also with Cozi being owned by Comcast and NBC that Comcast would make it available for anyone with an affiliate. Light TV is a sub channel of a religious station. I don't have much use for the main station, would prefer having the Light sub station.

I agree and I think it would be advantageous for them to do so. With all the sub channels switching around all the time, how can they develop any advertising revenue consistency ? Years later and all these channels but TV has really gone downhill the last 30 years. Too much bickering and fighting between networks, cable companies, satellite providers, etc etc. They have totally forgotten the consumer regardless of what they say.
