Forgot about that marathon. I was thinking of Joey Bishop. I actually have a vague liking for Boy Meets World. It was just on during the years when I was in school or working constantly, so I seldom saw any TV. I never even saw NewsRadio till years after it ended in first run.

I sometimes regret taking off The Joey Bishop Show, but at the time I just wasn't enjoying typing up the episodes. The fun of it is knowing which episodes I'm airing, but as much as I love that show, I really haven't seen much of it. So I never knew what to picture when I'd type an episode's title. I felt bad about getting rid of it, which is why I gave it an every episode marathon as a farewell. And although I may be the only person on Earth who loves 'til Death, I hated taking that show off, too. Even now, I hate that I'm taking off Dennis the Menace, The Office and Married... with Children. Before I started figuring out what my fall lineup would look like, those three shows were safe. But the more I tinkered with it, the more I knew that they just couldn't come back since I have so many shows joining. Funny how seriously I take this fake channel that - for all I know - only one person actually follows, haha.

As for Boy Meets World, I grew up with that show. When it debuted, Cory and Shawn were in the sixth grade and so was I. I don't know how familiar you are with the show, but continuity wasn't the show's strong suit. Because somewhere along the way, Cory, Shawn and Topanga skipped some grades. So when I was graduating high school in 2000, they were ending their second year of college. It went 6th grade, 7th grade, unsure, 11th grade, 12th grade, college freshmen, college sophomores. But regardless, I still loved those wacky characters, especially Eric, who just got dumber and dumber as the series went along. Pretty much to where he's unrecognizable when you go from the last episode back to the first.

As for NewsRadio, I was in 7th grade when it debuted. I loved it right away. However, during the early part of the third season, I quit watching. Sometimes I just get bored with a show when I'm watching one episode a week for years on end. Assuming the show would be cancelled, I watched the season three finale ("Space") and was happy to hear it had been renewed for a fourth season. But I didn't watch it again until after Phil Hartman's murder. That's when a local affiliate started airing the first four seasons. So during the week, I'd watch the reruns and then on Tuesdays or Wednesdays or Tuesdays again, I'd watch the new episodes with Jon Lovitz. After it left that channel, it went to A&E and had a very brief run on Nick at Nite. I wonder, where did you discover the show?

I don't recall a lot of Boy Meets World, just always liked William Daniels and could see the kids weren't obnoxiously cute. Daniels has one of the best one-scene guest shots on a sitcom, on the Bob Newhart Show.

I'm guessing that I first watched Newsradio on A&E.

There's a couple of good celebrity guest episodes of the Flinstones on Sunday: Tony Curtis and Bewitched. The Office has a nice little run including The Client and Email Surveillance.

I looked up the Odd Couple "Subway Show" to see what out-picked it the first time around. It turned out to be the Odd Couple's "Felix the Horseplayer" and Dick van Dyke's "I'm No Henry Walden," which are two my all-time favorite episodes. There are a bunch of very good Odd Couple episodes this week: The Hollywood Story, The Dog Story, The Odd Candidate, Our Fathers.

I don't remember much about The Odd Couple episode "The Subway Show" because I haven't watched the show in so long since the DVDs butchered the series for me, but I do remember it being a classic.

I'd also like to point out that I messed with the order a bit. "Two on the Aisle" was the episode that had Myrna in it with no explanation. It should have included a mention since she left the series earlier this season with "The Rain in Spain Falls Mainly in Vain." So I changed the order, placing "Two on the Aisle" BEFORE the one where Myrna leaves.

It turns out the Binge-Fest Summer has been a ratings disaster. So beginning next week, we'll have a new schedule. No new shows are coming until the fall, however, since I wanted to keep the short-lived shows I brought in for the summer (such as 'Life of Riley' and 'Buffalo Bill') I'll be letting a few shows go early to make room for them. I'll post the new schedule as soon as I make it. Stay tuned...

Monday, we’ll air the final episode of Hey Dude (#65. War), so instead of bringing it back for what will be an unfinished cycle, we’re gonna go ahead and end the series’ run on our network Monday. Beginning Tuesday, it will be replaced by Mister Ed. The Flintstones leaves the weekend block and moves to weekdays only, which is actually a promotion for the show.

I wanted the schedule to still resemble the summer lineup, and so Married… with Children is still on during the day, rather than at night like it used to be. I’m even airing all of the former Binge-Fest shows back-to-back during the hours in which we used to air the marathons. All of those shows, however, will continue where they left off before the summer lineup began, since I picture imaginary viewers upset that we had only ten or so episodes left in The Office before we went back to the beginning for the marathon. And if said imaginary viewer was recording the episodes, they’d be pretty ticked off to get so close to the end but not be able to finish the series.

This new schedule is just for the next four weeks. After that, we begin our fall lineup. The Honeymooners will be taking a break (the time-slot is filled with Gleason’s other show, ‘Riley’), but fear not, it will return in the fall.

Here now, the lineup…

Never would have guessed the Rich Little Show was available.

I checked out on The Office sometime during season seven, but I think I've seen them all in syndication since. There are a couple of good ones this week. "Stairmgeddon's" plot line where Dwight shoots Stanley is as funny as an slaptick plotline in the whole series.

I think "The Farn" was intended as a pilot if they decided to go that route, and that it was very promising. Good dynamic between Dwight and his siblings and, especially, his nephew. I'm guessing that, if they had decided to go forward with it, the Office wouldn't have wrapped up with Dwight and Angela getting together.

I'm not even sure I had heard of The Rich Little Show before the DVD was announced by MPI. It has a nice interview with Rich Little, though it's mostly him talking about his career as a whole, he does, obviously, talk a bit about the show, too.

At the beginning of the ninth season, it was reported that Rainn Wilson was doing a spin-off pilot, called "The Farm." If it had been picked up, he would have left the show midway through what turned out to be the final season of The Office. So it looks like they took parts of that pilot and added new scenes with the others inside the office for that Todd Packer storyline and just made it into an episode of the show. Also, if The Farm were picked up, it would have taken Toby off The Office as well, since he would have been either the showrunner or just one of the writers (I forget). And with Kelly and Ryan leaving, Michael already gone, Andy set to miss a batch of episodes and it was reported that John Krasinski would miss some episodes due to his filming a movie (he turned out to be in all of the episodes, however), losing Toby and especially Dwight, the ninth season wasn't looking too promising.

Well that would have changed that last season quite a bit.

With the news of Valerie Harper's death, The Rerun Channel will honor her with a Rhoda marathon next week titled "Remembering Rhoda."
