Speaking of Tony Orlando and Dawn, that's the show that helped That's My Mama get cancelled in Dec of 75.

Well I am planning on buying the Tony Orlando and Dawn DVD, so I do a comparison on the two shows regardless that the two programs were of different genres...

TOAD was only enjoyable when Tony and the Girls were singing and dancing. When they did Comedy the show was BORING!!!!!. BUT, it was still better that That's My Mama.

Majority of variety shows of 1970s...the comedy routine was pretty bad, but I am buying the DVD for the music and the fashions...

After having watched 15 eps of That's My Mama this is how it ranks with me against other black sitcoms of the time.

1) Sanford & Son
2) The Jeffersons
3) What's Happening
4) That's My Mama
5) Good Times
6) Baby, I'm Back

I won't put Sanford Arms on this list because I've only seen 10 minutes of it and I won't put Grady on the list because I have never seen it. I was going to watch it when TV Land played an ep a few years ago but I fell asleep. I'm still kicking myself.

But yeah, I really think I like That's My Mama better than Good Times. That's My Mama doesn't seem to have as much annoying corniness as Good Times.

THat's my Mama was not a GOOD SHOW at all and you ranked it above GOOD TIMES???????????? Can you give me an intelligent answer as to why you think That's My Mama is better than Good Times and Baby I'm Back??

How the hell you're going to say TMM wasn't a good show when you couldn't wait for the show to come out on DVD?! You say some weird stuff sometimes. You wasted your money then!

I didn't say That's My Mama was better than Good Times. I said that I like it better than Good Times. It's a matter of taste. I already gave a reason on why I like That's My Mama better than Good Times and I don't care if you think it's intelligent or not. Here, I'll give another reason. That's My Mama didn't have any characters on it that got on my nerves even half as bad as Willona "Ain't That A Blip" Woods.

I used to watch reruns of Baby, I'm Back on BET and if it was any good I would remember what atleast one of the episodes was about.
