Monday [7/6] has Bonanza airing from 2PM-6PM, no Gunsmoke. The next day has it back to Gunsmoke 2-4 and Bonanza 4-6, but it may not have updated yet. Good grief!!!!

And Roseanne is 10PM-4AM that night

As I stated in the August thread, TV Land desperately needs to overhaul the schedule ASAP. They need to work on getting the ratings up (like they did last summer, and worry more about the demos come this fall) and balance the schedule more. Can all of that Roseanne. I bet a schedule like this could bring the ratings back up to 750-800k. Using what they have, I propose this until maybe October (and don't make major changes then):

Weekdays (this is not happening, I made it up myself)

9:00AM The Brady Bunch
9:30AM All in the Family
10:00AM Sanford and Son
10:30AM Sanford and Son
11:00AM Good Times
11:30AM Good Times
12:00PM Leave it to Beaver
12:30PM The Andy Griffith Show
1:00PM The Beverly Hillbillies
1:30PM The Beverly Hillbillies
2:00PM Gunsmoke
3:00PM Bonanza
4:00PM Hogan's Heroes
4:30PM Hogan's Heroes
5:00PM The Beverly Hillbillies
5:30PM The Beverly Hillbillies
6:00PM Leave it to Beaver
6:30PM Leave it to Beaver
7:00PM The Andy Griffith Show
7:30PM The Andy Griffith Show
8:00PM-11:00PM Marathons
Monday - M*A*S*H
Tuesday - Cosby Show
Wednesday - (8-10PM Andy Griffith Show leading in to HYGSR/Make My Day)
Thursday - Sanford and Son
Friday - (8-9PM Andy Griffith leading in to 9PM Movie)
11:00PM M*A*S*H
11:30PM M*A*S*H
12:00AM Roseanne
12:30AM Roseanne
1:00AM The Cosby Show
1:30AM The Cosby Show
2:00AM Three's Company
2:30AM Three's Company
3:00AM Sanford and Son
3:30AM Sanford and Son
4:00AM The Brady Bunch
4:30AM All in the Family
5:00AM M*A*S*H
5:30AM M*A*S*H

Weekends
6:00AM Star Trek Sat. / Gunsmoke 2X 6-8AM, Bonanza 3X 8-11AM Sun.
7:00AM Star Trek Sat.
8:00AM-until Movie encore (Beverly Hillbillies can be used as filler) Sat.
11:00AM-8:00PM Various Classic Marathons
8:00PM Marathons
Saturday - M*A*S*H
Sunday - Andy Griffith Show
12:00AM Roseanne
12:30AM Roseanne
1:00AM The Cosby Show
1:30AM The Cosby Show
2:00AM Three's Company
2:30AM Three's Company
3:00AM Sanford and Son
3:30AM Sanford and Son
4:00AM-6:00AM Little House on the Prairie

Thoughts? I tried to base it on what shows do the best at certain times, and worst. Maybe afternoons would do better if they did a second Bonanza from 4-5pm and aired Hogan's Heroes at 12PM instead of Beaver, not really sure. It would be nice to see a sitcom block again in the afternoon. Roseanne couldn't be that bad just 12-1am.

Ugh... off the clock is now added for Monday-Wednesday from next week and beyond in primetime/late night(it was going to end tonight). I hate this freaking channel. Off the clock makes it almost totally unwatchable.

According to the TV Land grid on the schedule updates board, off the clock times will vary nightly by about 5 minutes. I think they were always "off the clock" at the same time each night before, right? It's going to be off the clock from 8PM-4AM Monday but then 9PM-3AM the other nights.

They are really hurting themselves. FWIW, they're running some new Cosby promos I think. It's the only non-original they actually promote.

TV Land ratings last week (from tvbythenumbers):

Primetime 582k
Total day 520k

God, yank all of that Roseanne already! There is no arguing that Roseanne is not doing well. In April they got 800k roughly in primetime with Andy Griffith, Cosby Show, M*A*S*H, and The Cougar. Roseanne is the laggard and should be tossed. It's making things worse and has gained no audience whatsoever since it launched.

Like I said before, to advertisers, the demo is important. Roseanne has to be doing well in the main demos (18-49, 25-54) that TV Land is interested in. Maybe we shouldn't be basing everything off of TV Land's total viewers anymore.

You're right about the demos Julie....but if it was doing extremely well, it seems it would be showing. Then again, they may be making more money with the younger demos. What we need to see here probably are the breakdowns, which is what we really need to determine.

Oh well, I've given up on TV Land cutting some of that Roseanne. I don't even watch them anymore except weekends.

Nothing but exact numbers are going to tell us anything. We can't make any assumptions without seeing the breakdowns. But, I'm all for limiting Roseanne - what's the point? Seems to me like airing 2 episodes a night would make more people want to watch during that time. If its airing 8 hours a night, anyone can tune it at anytime, which seems to be a problem when ratings come in.

I agree, I'm getting sick of Roseanne being on all night every night. I've actually significantly cut back the amount of time I'm watching it. Barely have watched at all since the weekend.

It obviously has to be getting good ratings somewhere otherwise they would have cut back by now(we know how TV Land is with changing the schedule every couple of weeks, but they haven't in several weeks now). I don't get it.

What about She's Got the Look? We can't leave it out, I'm sure its ratings are a factor also. Since we haven't seen a PR or anything, and seeing the numbers, it doesn't look to be doing great, and overall they did great with it last year (but then again the whole channel was better off last year).
Remember what Pavan said....they could be airing Roseanne so much to burn airplays off. I think we will see it reduced before the end of August.

Roseanne should air from 11pm-12am, keep the marathons maybe, then give us some more variety from 12am-4am. It's on 8pm-4am tonight....that's just too much. Remember all of the variety the schedule even had at the end of last year, even late at night?

She's got The Look has to be doing terribly. I'm sure the original airings along with all the repeats are also bringing down ratings. There's also Cosby and the movies, and the weekend primetime, which could all be bringing down ratings. There's no knowing without actual show ratings.

Some changes for this Saturday. The Brady Bunch marathon has been scaled back. Boy, they've skipped a lot of episodes over the last month or so (almost all of Season 3).

5 episodes less of The Bradys now because of 2 extra episodes of She's Got the Look added in the morning (4 Brady Bunch episodes cut) and The Brady Bunch marathon will be off the clock it appears (1 episode lost because of this)

8am - 11am- She's Got the Look
11am- Movie
1pm - 5pm- Brady Bunch

What is the point of airing SGTL 3 times in a row?

Yes, that change was made a week or so ago. I only posted on the first post of this thread.
