The Mary Tyler Moore Show has great quality writing and acting. However, some episodes are hard to bear to watch anymore mainly due to continuity issues and poorly aged stories and/or humor.
"Howard's Girl" - Richard Schaal portraying Howard in a previous episode and then Howard's brother in this episode. This episode doesn't confirm them as twin brothers, FFS! Even their parents don't confirm this, making continuity... awkward. "Divorce Isn't Everything" - The pretending-to-be-a-divorcee plot dragged on for the whole episode until the very end. "He's All Yours" - Sexual harassment isn't funny, and the whole news crew couldn't fire that perv! The three episodes from Season One are very passable for the above reasons. I'm watching subsequent seasons, so I may post some more later on. |
