I'm predicting that this year Svengoolie will bring back 1950s Universals like Tarantula, The Deadly Mantis, The Incredible Shrinking Man, and Monolith Monsters but I also think he'll certainly bring back other favorites like The Invisible Man, Abbott and Costello films, The Invisible Man Returns, and potentially (hoping) for Duel. It sounds like Dinosaurus!, The Mad Magician (w/Vincent Price), and Gargoyles are basically confirmed for this year on Sven via his social media posts. I'd love for him to show movies like Jason and the Argonauts, Mysterious Island, & First Men in the Moon but they're far too long for his timeslot and MeTV won't give him an extra half hour to show them as of now, sadly.

So February 1st is "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken" with Don Knotts on Svengoolie, last shown July 2018 so about a year and a half between showings. February 8th is "The Son of Kong" (1933) which is new to his show.

Feb 22-The Mummy's Curse Feb 29-Monolith Monsters

Next month he said he'll have a couple of iconic Hammers from the beginning of Hammer studios (1950s? Dracula and The Mummy, maybe?) Anyway, tonight is The Ghost and Mr Chicken.

3/28 is now Village of the Damned and not Curse of Frankenstein. Svengoolie's production has been postponed because of the virus. Curse of Frankenstein WILL be shown on Svengoolie though! I'm holding off on posting anything from April because I don't know if these shows that I know about have been changed. I'll post once Svengoolie's newsletter comes out.

My local library shows free movies and and an upcoming one was Forbidden Planet. Now with the libraries closed to the Coronavirus, I see Svengoolie is playing the movie in June or was it July. I will try to see the movie which I have never seen before. This is with Leslie Nielsen?

He showed it last July so it's bound to be coming up again before too long. Good movie. If you see it from your library, you're seeing the uncut version whereas Svengoolie showed an edited-for-time version.

Due to the Coronavirus, Svengoolie will be showing repeats ("encore performances", as he puts it) until further notice because production has halted. The schedule is 4/04--The Mummy's Tomb (Universal) 4/11--This Island Earth and 4/18--Dracula's Daughter (also both Universal.)

I wonder why Curse Of Frankenstein wasn’t shown.

Production has been halted due to the virus and he wasn't able to do any post production on it. He'll show it later this year.

5/2 Frankenstein, 5/9 Munster Go Home, 5/16 The Deadly Mantis.

Production for Sven has halted because of the Coronavirus and the Illinois lockdown has extended to May 31st so we're probably not going to see new Sven shows until June at the earliest. He hinted at "The Thing from Another World" for later this year.

Complete May 2020 movie schedule:
5/2: Frankenstein (1931) (the Karloff original that started it all)
5/9: Munster, Go Home! (1966) (still constantly requested!)
5/16: The Deadly Mantis (1957) (the big bug is back!)
5/23: Gargoyles (1972) (another one you asked for!)
5/30: Dinosaurus! (1960) (hey, we already run the Flintstones...)

From Sven's newsletter:
We have had to continue changing some of our originally planned schedule, due to the halt in studio production, but are fortunate to be able to bring back a few titles that you viewers have been asking for.

Also:
We are hoping to re-schedule the new movie titles we had to postpone for later on this year.
