Yes, I am the ultimate Beatles fan! How did you guess? Haha I was 14 in 1964 when they were on Ed Sullivan. What an event that was! I have been in love with Paul ever since! Beatles 4ever!

    Hi, Penny Lane,

Yes, I too, was a big fan of “Combat,” especially the late, great Vic Morrow as Sgt. Chip Saunders. I remember watching the show with my brothers and late father, who had been an infantry officer in North Africa and Europe during WW II. We would ask him about the weapons that Lt. Hanley, Sgt. Saunders and the rest of the soldiers used in the show.

Sadly, both Vic Morrow and Rick Jason had tragic deaths, Mr. Morrow and two young children killed during the filming of “Twilight Zone: The Movie,” and Mr. Jason by a self-inflicted gunshot, when he was in his seventies and apparently very ill.

Incidentally, I believe all of the “Combat” episodes are available for free on YouTube and I think Heroes & Icons (H&I) airs “Combat” on Saturday nights.

I agree with you that Sitcoms Online is a fun web site; I enjoy discussing the great, classic tv shows with the friendly fans here.

You must be a big Beatles fan. They are the greatest rock & roll band of all-time. Did you watch that Beatles documentary on tv? It was very informative.

Sir Ringo Starr and his All-Star Band will be performing, once again after the COVID pandemic, this summer. Ringo, along with Gregg Rolle of Santana and Colin Hay of Men-at-Work will be appearing at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, NJ this summer. I hope to see them at that show. I already have tickets to see the Happy Together Concert with The Turtles, The Association, Chuck Negron and The Cowsills this June. These are all great performers from the 1960s.

You can also catch some later concerts with Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney on YouTube.

    Thanks for your kind letter.

Sgt. Saunders, who used to say very frequently, “Checkmate King 2, this is White Rook, over!”
