It's a bit of a mystery. In Who shot Mr. Burns pt 2 we see the Marvin Monroe memorial hospital and then his death is mentioned in the special with Troy McClure. His grave is shown in Alone Again, Natura-Diddily but he suddenly shows up alive in Diatribe of a Mad Housewife.

I thought they said he died in the 138th special but I dont remember seeing him alive again. Maybe I didnt look hard enough.

I may do that with one character on a show I'm trying to make called "Bertstown". The Doctor is named Simon Ebersbacher and he's from Aachen, Germany (Home of Charlemagne) and is a German Psychologist who only appears in two episodes where he gives this Hanna-Barbera Character Loopy de Loop advice/help (If McFarlane can produce "The Flinstones, why can't I reuse a H-B Character for an original show)?

But that's only if "Bertstown" is on Adult Swim, if not (or I can't get permission to use another character)...James Paul Warner would see Ebersbacher. Then...I'll kill-off Ebersbacher leaving NO Trace!
