The Dick Van Dyke Show Season 3 DVD set contains 32 episodes. The third season
saw the show reach its highest ranking at #3 (behind only The Beverly Hillbillies and Bonanza)
and produced 5 Emmy Awards. Included in this season was the classic "That's My Boy?" episode
which was one of the most funniest and popular episodes of the series. There is an audio
commentary by Rob Reiner and Dick Van Dyke for this episode along with October Eve.
The first award-winning and
second season releases have set the standard of what many fans want in a tv series dvd
set, and the third offering continues the excellence with numerous supplements in addition
to the high quality episodes.
Other extras for this set include a full-length episode of The Danny Thomas Show that featured
Morey Amsterdam as Buddy Sorrell, interviews with the cast and producers, clips
of Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore receiving their Emmys, Mary Tyler Moore appearing
on Dick's 1975 variety series Van Dyke & Company, rare rehearsal footage with Sheldon Leonard,
original commercials featuring the cast and network promo spots, and photo galleries for selected episodes.
This set offers a lot of value and it's highly recommended to any fan of the show. You will
not find a better overall produced seasonal set from the attractive packaging, nicely
restored episodes, and extensive bonus features then those released by Image Entertainment.
Look for Season 4 to be available on April 27th, 2004 and Season 5 on
June 29th, 2004.
