Thoughts:
I really do enjoy this show. It's a fantastic and
funny show and I'm surprised I really was never into
it before. Any fan of Bernie Mac's will love this set,
as well as fans of the show.
The video and audio quality are honesty very good. The
picture is very good, crisp and clear. The Special
Features are Commentary on the Pilot episode by Bernie
Mac, Larry Wilmore and Ken Kwapis. There is a 60
minute special TV-Ography from the A&E Network titled
"Bernie Mac: TV's Family Man". The TVography is a very
nice bonus and fans would probably be happy with it if
they weren't able to catch it on television. The Menu
Navigation is easy to use, but it takes a little time
to work as when you select an episode, it goes to
another screen that has an episode description and you
must choose play. It's a nice feature, but it is
confusing at first. There is no "Play All" feature on
my set, which is surprising. There are 6 episodes on
each disc (in separate, simple, cases) except the
fourth disc, which contains 4 episodes and the
TVography. Overall, it is a very good set to own for
fans of the show, and even new fans can get into it in
no time, just like I did.
