Stressed Eric aired from August 12-26,1998 on NBC.

Seldom has a cartoon character led such a relentless life as the appropriately named Stress Eric ( voiced by Hank Azaria). A divorced American dad living in London, Eric worked in the "data department" of a large company where his runt of a boss, P.P. (Geoff McGivern), yelled at him, his secretary Alison (Doon McKichan), chatted incessantly, and the cleaning lady threw out his hard work when he wasn't looking. At home his two kids, 10-year-old Brian and 7-year-old Claire ( Morwenna Banks), were always in trouble. Chubby Brian ( who didn't speak) ate everything in sight, including the baby Jesus doll in the school nativity play ; Claire had a fondness for sweets, which made her tongue swell to horrendous proportions. Their punk nanny , Maria ( Doon McKichan), did little to help, crawling home drunk after long nights on the town and throwing up a lot. Adding to Eric's misery was his selfish ex-wife Liz ( Rebecca Front), who had dumped the kids on him, and the achingly Mr. and Mrs. Perfect ( Xander Armstrong, Alison Steadman) , with their perfect daughter Heather (Morwenna Banks). Doc ( Paul Shearer) offered sensible advice , but when things got to be too much for Eric, his temples began to throb, as if his herad was about to explode.

This cheery little domestic saga was canceled after three weeks. Produced in England.
