(see this users gallery) Marborhead Manor aired September 1987 until September 1988 in first run syndication.
Randolph Stonehill ( Bob Fraser) had made his fortune in the vegetable oil business-a fortune large enough to provide him and his elegant wife , Hillary ( Linda Thorson), with a large, fully staffed estate in this slapstick comedy. The staff was anything but efficient. The butler, Albert Dudley ( Paxton Whitehead), was a stuffy, uptight Englishman who found it hard to deal with his unbelievably inept subordinates. Handyman Dwayne ( Rodney Scott) was always cooking up get-rich-quick schemes that got both him and the others in trouble. He was nothing like his hard working brother, Jerry (Phil Morris), the Stonehill chauffeur, who was going to night school to get his college degree. Others on the staff were Lupe ( Dyana Ortelli), the well-meaning, if accident prone, household cook; Elvis ( Humberto Ortiz), her precocious eight-year-old son ( Ortiz was Ortelli's son in real life as well); and Rick ( played by a real young Michael Richards), the klutzy gardner.
Whenever things got out of control-which was often-it was the cool Mrs. Stonehill who kept her short-tempered husband and the staff from coming to blows.
In addition to playing the volitile Randolph Stonehill, Bob Fraser was one of the producers and writers of Marborhead Manor.
