The Sandy Duncan Show aired from September until December 1972 on CBS.
Sandy Stockton ( Sandy Duncan) was a cute young UCLA student who was working part-time as a secretary for Quinn & Cohen, a small advertising agency. She also appeared occasionally in TV commercials. She lived in an apartment building where two of her neighbors, Kay and Alex ( Marian Mercer, M. Emmett Walsh), where also close friends. Alex was a somewhat overprotective motorcycle cop who was worried about what could happen to a young single girl living alone. Also featured were Tom Bosley as Bert Quinn, her boss; Pam Zait as Hilary, the receptionist and Eric Christmas as Ben, the handyman in Sandy's apartment building. Sandy was always trying to help people out and frequently got into trouble because of it.
The character of Sandy Stockton had previously appeared in Miss Duncan's 1971 series Funny Face, which was no more successful than this attempt.
