Nancy aired from September 1970 until January 1971 on NBC.


Nancy ( Renne Jarrett) was the attractive young daughter of the President of the United States ( and no it was not Richard Nixon ). She met a young veterinarian named Adam ( John Fink) from Center City, Iowa , and they fell in love. Unfortunately, being under constant surveillance by secret service agents Turner and Rodriguez ( William Bassett, Ernesto Macias) did nothing to promote the romance, and Nancy's chaperone , Abigail ( Celeste Holm ),who was also the press secretary of the first lady, and Adam's Uncle Everett ( Robert F. Simon) also seemed constantly to get in the way not to mention the press led by Willie ( Eddie Applegate). The President was never shown on camera, but his aides were , and his voice was heard on occasion. The couple got married in the November 5, 1970 episode, but even that could not save the series from cancellation.
