(see this users gallery) The Good Life aired from September 1971 until January 1972 on NBC.
Albert and Jane Miller ( Larry Hagman, Donna Mills) were a middle-class American couple who decided that the dull routine of their lives needed a change. Instead of dropping out, however, they contrived to " drop up"-obtaining work as butler and cook , respectively, for an extremely wealthy family. Amid the oppulence of a millionaire's mansion, they hoped to share at least some of the benefits of " the good life." Their new employer, industrialist Charles Dutton ( David Wayne) was unaware of their middle-class background. He recognized their inexperience but found them pleasant enough company. His stuck up sister Grace ( Hermione Baddeley) was upset with their lack of propper training, however, and constantly looked for ways to get them fired. Dutton's teenage son Nick ( Danny Goldman) was the only member of the household who discovered the truth about the Millers, but he thought that their charade was great fun and helped them through the many contastrophies caused by their unfamiliarity with social etiquette among the wealthy.
