(see this users gallery) The Cara Williams show aired from September 1964 until September 1965 on CBS.
A secret marriage in the face of a company rule against employing married couples provided the basis for much of the comedy in this series. Cara and Frank Bridges ( Cara Williams, Frank Aletter), the secret spouses, had to pretend to be singles as they went to work each day at Fenwick Diversified Industries. Frank was the company efficiency expert, and Cara, who used her maiden name of Wilton in the office, was a secretary with an incredibly complex filing system. She was indespensible to her boss, Mr. Burkhardt (Paul reed), because she was the only one who could find anything in her files. The Bridges problems at home and at work as they tried to protect their secret, made for amusing and complicated situations |
