(see this users gallery) Tabitha aired from November 1977 until August 1978 on ABC.
This briefly seen comedy was a spin-off from ABC's long-running hit Bewitched. Tabitha was the daughter of Samantha, the leading character on Bewitched. She was seen as a child on that series, but by the time this one began she had grown into a bright young woman, just beginning her career as a television production assistant at station KLXA, in California. Tabitha ( Lisa Hartman) worked for producer Marvin Decker ( Mel Stewart), and her chief assignment was The Paul Thurston Show. Thurston ( Robert Urich) was the station's handsome, but not too-bright star newscaster. Adam ( David Ankrum) was Tabitha's brother and a fellow employee at KLXA and Minerva ( Karen Morrow) was her meddlesome aunt.
Dispite the similarity to The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Tabitha had something extra: as a witch, she could perform feats of magic and get her own way, with a twitch of the nose. Dispite guest appearances by former Bewitched regulars Bernard Fox, George Tobias and Sandra Gould, it didn't help. The series soon disappeared in a puff of Nielsen ratings.
