This is a promotional photo of Beverly Garland taken during the early 1950's about the time she appeared in her first television series, Mama Rosa.
Mama Rosa aired from May until June 1950 on ABC.
This obsure early comedy, which was produced live in Hollywood, was seen briefly on the ABC Network in 1950. It was set in a theatrical boarding house run by Mama Rosa ( Anna Demetrio) and located in Hollywood. Also appearing were her daughter and son ( played by future tv stars Beverly Garland and Richard Anderson).An assortment of showbiz types passed through, including Nikolai ( Vito Scotti), a violin instructor.
