(see this users gallery) The Tammy Grimes Show aired from September 8-29, 1966 on ABC.
The first fatality of the 1966-1967 season, The Tammy Grimes Show was an ill-conceived half-hour sitcom that starred musical comedy star Tammy Grimes as Tammy Ward, who the ABC press releases referred to as " a madcap heiress." Given her own way ,she would have spent oodles of money on just anything that hit her fancy, regardless of how useful it might be. Trying to keep the purse strings from being opened too far was her banker , Uncle Simon ( Hiram Sherman), a much more pencunious soul than Tammy. In addition to not being able to get her hands on her money, she had to cope with an incredibly square twin brother named Terrence ( Dick Sargent) and a nosy housekeeper named Mrs. Ratchett ( Maudie Prickett). Both Tammy and Terrence worked for Uncle Simon at the Perpetual Bank of America. The series was canceled after four episodes had been televised, though ten shows had actually been completed by that time. William Dozier ( who had created Batman for television in January 1966) was the executive producer for Greenway Productions in association with 20th Century Fox; Richard Whorf and Alex Gottlieb were the producers.
