Shirley's World aired from September 1971 until January 1972 on ABC.
Another example of an unsuccessful TV series featuring a major film star, Shirley's World starred movie actress Shirley MacLaine as a mod young reporter-photographer in this, her first TV series. Shirley Logan ( MacLaine) was based in London, but her assignments for World Illustrated magazine took her all over the world. She was saucy, bubbly, and impulsive and her knack for getting involved with her subjects, be they spies or movie queens, often led to hilarious results, much to the despair of her editor, Dennis Croft ( John Gregson).
Filmed in England, Scotland, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and other locales.
Sheldon Leonard was the producer.
