(see this users gallery) Rango aired from January until September 1967 on ABC.
Rango was a western comedy about the Texas Ranger that legends don't talk about. Rango ( Tim Conway), was an inept, bumbling lawman who had been assigned to Deep Wells Ranger Station, the quietest post in the state, in an attempt to keep him out of trouble. But trouble came with him. Criminal activity sprouted in a town which had been quiet for 20 years. Rango's assistant in the post supply room was Pink Clowd ( Guy Marks), a "chicken" Indian who had discovered that the white man's ways were much to his liking-an interesting book in a comfortable bed was much better than skulking around the plains. " Rango say him return when sun high over teepee," grunted the red man. " By that, I presume he meant he would be back by noon."
Rango's nemesis was Captain Horton ( Norman Alden), the post commander, who would have dearly loved to have him transferred, but couldn't because Rango's father happened to be head of the Texas Rangers.
