(see this users gallery) The Last Frontier ran from June until July 1996 on FOX.
Kate ( Jessica Tuck), was the personal director for Ridley International, a conglomerate building a tourist resort in Anchorage in this buddy comedy notable mostly for its location. Looking to rent a guest cottage, she ended up with 3 rather immature twenty-something male roommates. They were Reed ( John Terlesky), who ran an outdoor adventure company; Andy ( Patrick Labyorteaux), a horny, obnoxious Air Force intelligence officer obsessed with flying saucers; and Billy ( Anthony Starke), a conservative architect/builder. Matt ( David Kriegel) was Reed's shaggy-haired younger brother, who had moved out when he married perky Joy ( Leigh-Allyn Baker), six weeks earlier. Matt and Joy ran the Brew Pub, the rustic bar where Joy was a waitress and everybody hung out in their spare time.

TELEVISION REVIEW;Cool Single People Living in Alaska, but Mooseless
By JOHN J. O'CONNOR
With the 1995-96 season officially over, television diddles, as usual, into the summer months. Reruns are mixed with a scattering of new series that are probable rejects or possible winners getting an eager jump on the fall. Fox brings on one of each tonight.
"The Last Frontier" is yet another "Friends" rip-off and like most of the others is not a candidate for a lasting relationship. This one is set in Alaska, employing not the moose-laden wilds of "Northern Exposure" but the urban skyline of Anchorage, which is seen briefly in the opening credits. Billy (Anthony Starke), an architect, shares his cool home with two friends, Andy (Patrick Labyorteaux), a quite odd Air Force intelligence officer, and Reed (John Terlesky), a big lug who, when things are slow at his outdoor-adventure-trails company, likes to watch Yogi Bear cartoons. The producers describe Reed as an insensitive but lovable womanizer. How can he lose?
Into this bachelor lair wanders Kate (Jessica Tuck), personnel director for a greedy development company in Los Angeles. After hesitating for 60 seconds, she decides to move in with the boys because, it seems, she loves the bathroom. Now she will have ample opportunity to teach them the differences between men and women. In tonight's premiere, Kate gets drunk and makes a pass at Billy. Oh, these 20-somethings!
Also on hand are Matt (David Kriegel), Reed's younger and even more dimwitted brother, and his new wife, Joy (Leigh-Allyn Baker), who is supposed to be "sweet but extremely traditional." Watch out for those devious traditional types. The gang has two obsessions: sex and zinging one-liners. The second episode mentions Tori Spelling twice. The mere thought of the third episode induces deep sleep.
