(see this users gallery) Harris Against The World aired from October 1964 until January 1965 on NBC.
Jack Klugman played Alan Harris, a plant superintendent at a huge movie studio who lived at 90 Bristol Court with his wife Kate ( Patricia Barry), and his 2 children Deedee and Billy ( Claire Wilcox, David Macklin).Helen and Norm ( Fay DeWitt, Sheldon Allman), were their friends and Cliff Murdock ( Guy Raymond), was the building handyman. Coping with life was a full time job for Alan. His bosses, debts, taxes, and people in general always seemed to be one up on him. His wife was a champion spender who always managed to find him part-time jobs to work at in the spare time he didn't really have. But much as he complained about almost everything and everybody, Alan was really an old softie at heart.
Harris Against The World was the middle component of a series of 3 comedies that ran from 7:30-9:00 on Monday evenings under the blanket title 90 Bristol Cout, which referred to the fashionable apartment block where all 3 shows were set. Karen ran from 7:30-8:00 and Tom, Dick, And Mary from 8:30-9:00. |
