Camp Runamuck aired from September 1965 until September 1966 on NBC.
Nuttiness abounded in this comedy of 2 summer camps for children, Camp Runamuck for boys and, on the other side of the lake boardering it, Camp Divine for girls. The 4 characters in charge of the boy's camp ,Wivenhoe, Spiffy , Pruett and Doc Joslyn (Arch Johnson, Dave Ketchum, David Madden,Leonard Stone), created constant chaos in their own camp and maintained a strong, and often hilarious rivalry with the counselors of Camp Divine who were represented by Eulalia Divine ( Hermione Baddely), the owner of the girl's camp and her top counselors Mahala May Gruenecker ( Alice Nunn), and Caprice Yeudleman ( Nina Wayne).
Bandleader Frank DeVol was originally scheduled to play Doc, and did so in the first episode, but health problems forced him to quit the series. Leonard Stone replaced him.
