(see this users gallery) Michael Weaver stars as Dwayne Mullet, the loud, wild "in your-face" half of the Mullet brothers, in the new UPN comedy series THE MULLETS.
A musician and singer initially, Weaver released two records before turning to acting. He continues to play music and recently completed an album with his band, The New Black.
After attending director Mike Nichols' New Actors Workshop in New York City, Weaver was involved in various Off Off Broadway productions, including "Geography of a Horse Dreamer" and "Urban Empire's Worldly Acts," as well as work at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater.
In addition to his work on the stage, Weaver showed his diversity with guest starring roles in "Law & Order" and "Law & Order: SVU." Looking to make a permanent leap into film and television, Weaver relocated to Los Angeles and quickly landed a recurring role in the television series "Providence."
In film, he appeared in the Fox Searchlight film "Super Troopers" from the comedy troupe Broken Lizard. The comedy troupe was so impressed with Weaver's work that they wrote him into their next project, Fox Searchlight's "Club Dread," out in 2004.
Weaver currently lives in Santa Monica, Calif. with his fiancée and a hound dog, both of whom are helping him through his addiction to golf. |
