(see this users gallery) David Hornsby stars as Denny Mullet, the quieter, more thoughtful, easygoing half of the Mullet brothers, in the new UPN comedy series THE MULLETS.
Hornsby appeared in the television shows "Six Feet Under," "E.R.," "Family Affair," "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment" and "Presidio Med." His film credits include roles in "Minority Report" and "Pearl Harbor."
Hornsby trained for theatre at Carnegie Mellon University, then lived in both New York City and Los Angeles. His theatre credits include several years at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Williamstown, Massachusetts where he performed in the world premiere musical "Quark Victory," "Johnny on a Spot" and "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead," which transferred to the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. Hornsby also starred in the world premiere of "Compleat Female Stage Beauty" at the City Theatre in Pittsburgh, which is being made into a feature film by Miramax. He co-wrote and performs in "The Shornsby Show," a two-person show in Los Angeles that was invited to perform at Second City as part of the 2003 Chicago Comedy Festival.
Hornsby was born in Virginia and raised in Houston. In high school, he competed and found success in the speech and debate circuit, winning the national tournament in comedy during his junior year and placing fourth in the nation in dramatic interpretation the following year.
Hornsby, who lives in Los Angeles, recently realized that for a brief period of time as a child he indeed sported a mullet. He's happy to return to his roots. |
