Anderson was born and raised in Los Angeles and is the oldest of five children. His mother got him interested in acting because Anderson loved entertaining his family and friends. He landed his first professional job in a television commercial at the age of five. He later attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Performing Arts and the Hollywood Performing Arts. He received an award in the field of drama from the Academic Cultural Technological Scientific Olympics of the Minds.
Anderson has been featured on "Jag," "The Wayans Brothers," "Married ... With Children," "In the House" and "Night Stand." His film credits include "The Wrong Side of Town," "Ballad of Sacrifice" and "After the War."
When Anderson is not acting on the set, he works on his writing and comedy routine. Anderson enjoys all sports, especially golf. Anthony Anderson's birthday is August 15.
