With its unique blend of honest storytelling and great music, "California Dreams" returns for a fifth and final season. This live-action musical-comedy series is from executive producer Peter Engel, the creative force behind NBC's popular "Saved by the Bell" franchise.
"California Dreams" follows the exploits of seven high-spirited teenaged friends in Southern California who form a rock 'n' roll band they call California Dreams. The series features original music and tackles various topics facing today's teens, such as self-esteem, friendship and the environment. In this final season, the band will have one last year of high school fun, experience new relationships and face saying good-bye to each other after graduation.
The ensemble cast stars Michael Cade as the ambitious, well-dressed and manipulative band manager, Sylvester "Sly" Winkle; Jay Anthony Franke as the guitar-playing, motorcycle-riding, leather-jacket-wearing, poetry-writing tough guy with a heart of gold, Jake Sommers; Aaron Jackson as Sly's talented, sensitive and musically gifted cousin, Mark Winkle; William James Jones as the quick-witted drummer and ladies' man, Tony Wicks; Jennie Kwan as the fast-talking Chinese foreign-exchange student and vocalist, Samantha Woo; Kelly Packard as the nature-loving bass player and vocalist, Tiffani Smith; and Diana Uribe as the sassy, wealthy and fashion-conscious Lorena Costa. "California Dreams" is currently licensed in over 45 countries worldwide, including Great Britain, Spain, Australia, France, Germany, Italy and Mexico.
