He grew up in various parts of the United States, including New York, Washington State and California. Franke made his television debut on the daytime drama "General Hospital." He has since appeared on the series "Married ... With Children" and in the TV movie "Earth Angel." He made his "California Dreams" debut on September 11, 1993. He studied ballet for three years, and has danced with the Los Angeles Ballet Company as well as the American Ballet Theatre. Franke enjoys writing music, playing the guitar, skiing, hiking, camping and reading anything he can get his hands on. His ethnic background includes Cherokee Indian, Irish and English. He loves animals and has several cats and collects reptiles.
