I'm A Big Girl Now ran from October 1980 until July 1981 on ABC.
Danny Thomas returned to television in this gentile father-daughter comedy. He was Dr. Benjamin Douglas, a cantankerous dentist made all the more so by the fact that his wife had just run off to spain with his partner Ira. At the same time his pretty daughter, Diana ( Diana Canova), divorced her husband. Both a bit shell-shocked, father and daughter decided to live under the same roof for awhile for mutural support. The problem was for her to convince him she wasn't his little girl anymore, and to stop trying to run her life. Since they were both dating from time to time she had some amunition. With them was Diana's cute little scene-stealing seven year old daughter Becky ( Rori King). Walter ( Michael Durrell), was Benjamin's neorotic son ; and Edie ( Sheree North), the hyper-tense boss at the research institute where Diana worked , in downtown Washington, D.C.
Martin Short had one of his earliest tv roles in this show as Neal Stryker.
