(see this users gallery) Danny Nucci couldn't be happier about costarring
in a new CBS sitcom with Jason Bateman. But the title, "Some of My Best Friends," is "the
worst title ever known to man," the 32-year-old
actor tells People magazine. "It's like you're looking in the dustbin: Let's find the worst title for a sitcom that's a mouthful and nobody will get." "Some of My Best Friends" is based on the film "Kiss Me, Guido" that showed at the 1997
Sundance Film Festival. Nucci plays a character named Frankie Zito. When Frankie answers a roommate wanted ad specifying "GWM," he decodes that as "Guy With Money," instead of "Gay White Male." The confusion puts Frankie in an odd-couple pairing with gay writer Warren Fairbanks, played by Bateman. The series debuted Wednesday. |
